Griz and I are famous

Griz and I have been doing agility and a few nights ago a journalist came to our practice. Griz was actually doing really well on all the obstacles, even going fast for once. Well, he started walking on the "dog walk" which is a narrow ramp that goes up to a flat plank, and then down. When he got to the top it got really windy, to add to his nervousness from the wobbly dog walk, and he just stood there. And then his legs would shake. And then he'd keep standing there. For 20 minutes. And then I saw the journalist scribbling in his note pad, so I knew he'd make fun of Griz...

And here it is! Haha...

And here is a video of what we aspire to be. Airedales are not really known for rocking at agility...but here's a good one!

Awkward family pet photos and other exciting news

I guess I have some decent things to write about. I had an awesome time at girl's camp, I'm now officially employed after 1.5 years of unemployment, my family is coming to visit me next week–including my sister's growing womb, Griz has been doing agility and didn't freak out at the fireworks on the 4th, we had lots of fun visitors for the Cruise In, I did face-painting for hours at the Relay for Life, my hair has 3 new colors in it, I've been playing soccer, and I have an ugly bruise on my chin that looks like facial hair at the wrong angle.

But I don't have time to write about all those things, so please check this out instead. It is HILARYOUS.

Boy or Girl?

Here's your chance to vote on whether Baby Parker is a boy or a girl. Megan and Daniel made this sweet poll so go vote! And it's fun to see the names other people have come up with.

We get to find out the answer in 2 weeks!

Big News!

Stop. I'm not pregnant. My sister is!

Hooray! Megan and Daniel are expecting offspring October 20 (I believe). They told the Perkins clan a couple months ago via video chat. Isn't technology great? My parents just sat there and grinned...looking a little stunned. Meganiel (Megan+Daniel) showed us a picture of the little critter, and I don't remember exactly how burgers came up (probably something "the baby was craving") but this is the drawing I did for them out of my excitement. If you look closely, you can see it started off with a tail, but then Megan said it has toes, so I had to add them on there. Most of them anyway :)

We were all sworn to secrecy, but from what I hear, ahem, I'm the only one who didn't tell a directly related-to-Megan person. I was really excited so I told people at work. And the Frisbys. Do you know how hard it is to not immediately share that news on Facebook?! It's exciting! First grandbaby on the Perkins side. So Daniel broke the silence a couple days ago. I guess he was tired of explaining why Megan has been puking so much and why her bras are all too small now or why she's been eating so many bean burritos. (Hahahaha...there's nothing better than embarrassing a sibling on the web.)

So...I think it's probably a girl. And in honor of the Twilight series, they should name her Janstine (Jan+Christine). Or maybe Chrisjan, because it sounds like Christian, but it spelled different. That reminds me...here's the latest installment of...

Rexburg baby names!

You're so vain. You probably think this post is about you.

I never know what I should write about. Mainly because the things I want to write about are all about church or work or family...and that's a little risky, don't cha think? Not like everyone I go to church with or work with or who is related to me reads this blog, but that doesn't mean they couldn't. And I guess I worry about looking unrighteous or unprofessional or unloving.

Plus we haven't had cable in over a year. So I can't talk about "fictional" people. Although you can't really avoid seeing Heidi Montag's man mug on the web. (Challenge: type "he" into google and see if her name isn't in the top 5 helper topic things)

The only one safe is Grizzly. Griz is my BFF, but you already knew that, and if I write any more than that you'll all stop reading forever.

I guess it would be safe to just say nice, non-offensive and pointless things about everyone and everything. But. Not when there's cold weather in May. Boo.

I think what AJ and I need is to get away for a while —where— I don't know. Any suggestions?
