Now when you read "awesome", picture me making two really big quotation marks with my hands.
The crappy economy has touched us yet again up here in Logan. The company AJ works for just laid off everyone today. Except for him. But it's really not that amazing, considering AJ saw it all coming, and now he has to do not only all the welding, but all the pointless jobs of guys that used to take up space there. And he knows that the company is going to be dead soon anyway, so who knows how long he'll have this job, or how long it will be full-time. The mother/umbrella company (whatever you wanna call it) has offered him a full-time job there, but you know what? He's already worked almost a year for these people who have promised him multiple raises and gave nothing, and I don't think he's feeling any desire to be loyal.
So I say, Logan, it's been fun, but we must be moving along. I just feel itchy to get out of here.
AJ and his friend are going down to Weber on Friday to check out the shop etc. for the welding engineering program there. Maybe we can get headed in the right direction after all. I just wish AJ's wife had a better job to support him with all this chaos. Argh.
Couldn't have been "better" timing.

wow, that's seriously a bummer... it's crazy when all this economic crisis stuff starts affecting you directly. it makes me feel old! i'm sorry about that, but maybe it's time for you guys to move on to bigger and better things! and i'm jealous you have the chance of moving out of Logan!
I guess you guys better be coming home! Okay, you don't have to but it would be nice to have you guys back here!
The economy blows!! Good luck!
I thought Logan was nice too, but was happy when it was time to move on. May you find AWESOME (seriously) jobs in Ogden or wherever you'd like to be.
Then YES!!! Move to Denver!!! PLEASE!!
